How fascist is America?I recently had an argument where someone accused me of supporting the radical right-wing ideology of fascism. To disprove that idea I looked at "The 14 Characteristics of Fascism" by Dr. Lawrence Britt. As the argument went on, I was reminded of a disturbing thing about the list. America, my nation, really goes in line with these points. So I figured I'd check each one and see how the US scores. It's only fair to say this isn't so much a definition of fascism or the platform of fascism but rather just characteristics of a fascist state. 1.) Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
I don't think anyone could deny America passes this one with flying colors. America's absurd level of patriotism is comical.
